RecipeBox Pro · 2024

One home for every recipe you've ever saved.

Recipes live in screenshots, bookmarks and handwritten notes, so they're hard to organize and harder to find when it's time to cook. RecipeBox Pro brings them into one place with smart uploads, ingredient scaling and a feed that helps you rediscover meals.

Background

Home cooks save recipes everywhere, then can't find them.

I surveyed and interviewed cooks aged 17 to 29. Scattered sources, math mid-cook and forgotten family recipes came up again and again.

Persona: Sofia James, 21, college student who wants to cook her family's recipes without messing them up

Persona

Meet Sofia.

"I want to cook my family's recipes without messing them up or feeling lost." Every screen was designed with her in mind.

How might we bring recipes from everywhere into one place people keep using?

Testing

People got lost, so I made actions and feedback clearer.

Usability testing showed navigation confusion. More visible buttons and confirmation pop-ups like "Published!" fixed it.
